Further extending our commitment to facilitate meaningful exposure for students, we also organized the YPS MUN in 2022. The highlight of this MUN was the diversity brought to this event to attract students with varied interests. To substantiate, YPS MUN 2022 had a lot of unconventional committees hence breaking conventional barriers.
For smaller cities like Patiala, the opportunities for students to engage in immersive learning experiences are often fewer. However, when we conceptualized YPS MUN 2022, the idea was to give students the best form of holistic learning exposure they’ve ever had. Hence, enormous amounts of effort went into brainstorming and planning every detail of the MUN.
Committees at YPS MUN 2022 included a host of unconventional committees catering to students’ unique interests. These included the AIPPM, Lahore Session 1929, G-20 and Joint Crisis Committee. Besides, conventional committees at the MUN were the World Trade Organization, UNSC, UNGA, UNHRC, UNCOPUOS and OIC. The debate and deliberations in each of these committees were exciting, purposeful and directed towards change.
In this way, we could extend this unique opportunity to learn diplomacy, problem-solving and critical thinking to students. Students from pan-India competed with great enthusiasm to inspire the best in each other. Hundreds of students assumed the role of change-makers and capitalized on the opportunity with all their hearts.
